how can I deal with this?

I graduated from college 3 months ago, and at that time I got a job. They promised me that I can be the formal staff 3 months later. But now, I am still an intern. I do not know how to tell my boss about this, because I am afraid I would lose my job.

Firstly you have to understand that you have always that risk and if they did not do what they promised they are testing you for good or for bad. They could forget too if they are busy and they are not organized people. Time is running to fast. But if you do not say nothing they think this person has no carather, we could do everything. Be a dinamic person, kindly say them you are in the company for more than 3 months and they promised you a better situation after that time. Certainly the weeks run too fast and they forgot. If they are honest people they assume and you will get your goal, if not that company is not good enough for you, you deserve better. Best wishes! We should always fight in good manners for what is our right.

There are at least 3 kinds of people. One, those who just accept their job whatever it is because of FEAR - like you. Second, those who get angry and complain because of FEAR - like many. And third, those who have the guts to Fire Their Boss, and become the boss. Which do you belong?

Yes, you are right. Thank you for your advice. But before I can fire my boss, I should study more and become an expert on what I do:)

hi ghostlzy, if i were to put myself in your shoe, i would give them another few weeks or maybe 1 month and see how it goes. If within that few weeks/ a month, your boss approaches you and told you that you'll be a staff, then it'll be a good news. But after another month, your boss doesn't seem to say anything about having you to be a formal staff in the company, it's time. It's time to approach him and ask him. Sometimes they could be very busy with their work and might have other things to think about that kept them occupied and forgot that you're still an intern. Do not be afraid to approach him because if you're afraid to approach him, you'll end up being intern for many more months to come. So stand up for yourself. You can do it!

I think you are right. But I have not talked to my boss. I plan to leave in another months, cause I have to finish my design, and I still can learn something from the company:)

maybe there are a lot of reasons why. maybe you are not yet qualified, maybe you need more experience, maybe you need to grom more or mature more in your field, maybe there are still keeping an eye on you. you need to give them more time, give yourself more time to grow with in the job. 3 months is still short for a newbie like you. be patient

I agree 3 months is not very long to start and grow in a position with a company, maybe they think he/she needs more time to learn their process, or mature in the field. Maybe they are watching them to see how they handle the work or their position and feel they should let it ride a bit longer when they feel comfortable that they can handle adding them to their staff permantely .
