You need to keep this in mind before you use Mylot

I want to discuss here to all you Mylot users that can help you in the long run. From time to time I go through many discussions I read or even responses and the truth is some members don't even know how to start a thread, or a discussion or even leave a response. I hope most of you realize that if you just start a thread or discussion with just one sentence, a three word sentence or just posting links - this is a bigger dis-advantage to you because for one there is no earnings or little if you do that.
Also another disadvantage of doing that lowers your reputation and lowers your ratings and you have limitations of posting threads with images. If you have seen members with 10 stars that not only means they are active members, but these are the type of users that post long discussions and long threads. Also with helpful ideas according to their discussions.
If one just relies on small words or sentences will not make it far on making earnings - You will see what I'm talking about regardless if you have 1,000 posts or such.
The key main factor in growing earnings is posting page long discussions. You have to be helpful, think about what discussion you're going to talk about - think of it as if you're writing a newspaper article or magazine article. Think of it like a journal or an article that catches attention for people to read.
Think of it as if you're writing a book report or an essay. If you sync this through your minds you can do well and boost your earnings. If you have referrals then you can encourage them to do the same.
So as it is - the less you post or respond does not count much for earnings. The longer you post topics the higher you get. The more helpful and quality your post is - you will see your earnings go up.

I'm not going to respond to a few words myself, you may not understand what they are asking for. The more details you put in it the better. I'm a visual person, you describe something to me in detail and I understand it much better. I'm glad you posted this.

i'm wondering what you consider a good post of writings. how many paragrapsh and how many sentences would i have to write in order to qualify for a greater earnings? i would like you to provide more information about this matter. i want to ask you if you ever made a dollar in a day? i also want to ask you if you write on mylot everyday and how many discussions you responded or started to make a dollar a day? i want some specifics on the things that you just mentioned. if i have more information, the better i can write in mylot and the better i can help people with questions. i don't want to write just because i like it...i write because i want to help people answer their discussions and questions and at the same time make money out of the good deeds that i'm doing.

You sure do have a lot to say on this one. I believe you because even me I'm not a long write and my earnings aren't much either. I'm going to read up on your tips to see what I can do and one day just start writing long pages or something. I hope it works too. Thanks

I have to agree with you on this topic. I mean there is no sense into making useless or small word topics. And even for those that make topics that aren't worth the time to read or doesn't make no sense at all. I know it is not easy at times to make long posts depending on how much a person can say and put the time to do so. For me paragraph discussions are fine with me. It would probably take me an hour just to make a long discussion LOL.

Hi darkangel, I just wanted to respond to your post here. I hear what your saying about posting longer discussions and I really can see a potential earning system here but sometimes I come across short posts words and find that a couple words actually have a lot to say without a 1000 words printed. In other words: Sometimes less is more?
Thanks for the help and Great subject BTW!

True at what you say, but less words don't score much earnings in this system and I have figured that. The purpose from what I know here is making discussions and threads - I mean for one if you make surveys or forums you're going to have something to talk about. Things that catch the attention to the reader. Of course if one to post small with a sentence still earnings won't be so high. Then again none

I have to say I respond to topics sometimes with just a few words and others with almost a pageful it depends what its about. I don't believe you need to say much in some instances to make your views known, sometimes a few words says it all. we also have to remember that this site is multi national and some users find it harder to put into words what they want to say so they make sence to others. I also have no intention of becomming a millionairess through mylot and use the site for the fun it should be and not as a source of income. therefore going back to original question I personally post as much or as little as I feel the need to, after all its supposed to be fun. tc

Thanks for the good information you convey to us darkangel079.
Yeah, I also notice that as my membership here gets longer and longer.
Me, when I start a post, I don't usually go on just a question or a single sentence. I normally start a question, then a discussion or a experience that is related to the question and end up with a question again. I don't write a very long discussion but i see to it, I have start a detailed discussion, as I don't want it to mark vagueness to the one who wants to respond.
I remember when I first join here, my earnings is very low, 8 cents, but then as I continue learning, I notice my earnings goes up. I am making post detailed whether it is a discussion I want to start or whether I am responding to discussions of others.

Thanks for this post. I have seen you alot around my lot. I appreciate you insight and the insight of all other mylotters. I have only been here about 3 weeks and have just started to get my feet wet. I finally did make it to over 100 posts and was excited to see my star pop up with an 8 on it. What does that mean, by the way.
Once again, thanks for all your input and insightful posts here on mylot.

hello darkangel079, I notice that too. and I mostly would post longer responses or discussions because I think that there is no point in giving a comment or starting a thread with just one liner or even a short sentence. that just doesn't make sense for those who would read. plus, there will be a glimpse of thinking that this person is just try to spam. if someone doesn't give any contribution within the post / response he / she makes, so what's the point of having the discussion then? I have to say that I'm glad you are bringing this thread up. this is nice thread to see it here! :) thanks for the advice.

Thank you again.

Thank you so much for posting this. I never thought that responses or threads must be long if you want to earn higher. I posted a discussion with only one sentence, so i guess the next time it should be long. Im just a noob here so this information helps a lot. May I ask, so this means that there are people (admin) who keep monitoring this myLot?
