Hail and Snow ruined Valentine's Day plans

I had this great plan set up for a candle light dinner by the ocean for Valentine's dinner. I even had a friend hired to put on a tux and serve dinner.
Murphy's law set in: It hailed yesterday in Baja (where it's sunny and warm the other 364 days of the year). And it snowed in parts of San Diego, California yesterday (also known as sunny Southern California for it's warm weather the other 364 days of the year).
We have miles of ocean front to choose from, but, Mr. Weather would not cooperate. Today, it's sunny and warm! Isn't that just great! Why couldn't we get this 75-degree weather yesterday????!!!???
Do you have a similar experience?

A reason I completely forgot about for why I hate Valentine's Day, Murphy's Law!
I always celebrate this holiday before or after the 14th. I refuse to buy into any of the commercialism.
Contact your friend and see if they can do it this saturday. I'm sure your sweetie will be touched at all the work you put into it and not care about which day you actually did it on.

You're right! She appreciated the effort and the thought. We already celebrated last night, we took it indoors. We still had the champagne, lobster, minus my friend the waiter and served it at my place. We actually had fun. Sometimes the simple things in life, like sharing a nice intimate dinner at home, are just as enjoyable as the elaborate.
Since we weren't driving anywhere, we were able to relax and make whoopee!
