Hi all,
are there any REAl sites out there that offer proper jobs for freelance writers. I would like to get involved in the world of freelance but there seems to be so many scams and places that ask for a registration fee.
Is this normal? Am I just being naiive to think I can break into the market so simply.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Regards
J.

There definitely are real legitimate sites out there that offer serious freelance writer, like you, a job. Mostly their earning power isn't much but at least you get something in return. Here's my recommendations:
1. Helium - professional writers gather here to write quality articles on a variety of topics.
2. Associated content - your articles are paid for here, ranging from a couple of bucks to 25$ for the really good ones.
3. Wired Flame - You get paid for assignments. Usually the job involves forum population, i.e. posting in forums. You get paid per finished assignments, for example posting XXX numbers of post or starting XXX numbers of threads in XXX forum.
Remember, all three of these work only if you're serious enough about it. Hope it helps.

I like your avatar. Could you tell me a little about Wired Flame? I went to their website and browsed, but I was still confused by what it actually is. Thanks.

Check out associatedcontent.com You write articles and you get paid! Pretty simple really. I also write for helium.com. Both are great sites for making money free lance writing.

I have been looking for a data entry typing job online for about 4yrs now and still have not found one. All I keep finding are the scams that you have to invest money inorder to work and I refuse to go down that road again.
