Wilbur, the SENIOR cat!

Since our dog Jake passed away, Wilbur has become the senior pet of the house. He is about 50 in cat years now. I can tell he acts like the senior cat because a stray pug dog was walking our neighborhood one day. I decided to see if he would let me pet him. He was across the street, and when he saw me, he came across the street into our yard. He got close enough for me to pet him, but when I moved my blouse to my other shoulder to reach down to pet him, Wilbur decided to check him out, and the dog ran off. Bless his heart! Wilbur has definitely taken on the role of senior pet pretty well since he was being protective of me at that moment.
