what antivirus do you use?

I use Norton Antivirus. I've had no problems with it, and it came installed on my computer.

avira sometimes make my computer hang... i like tu use avast pro nice and not to heavy to load.. maybe you should try avast :)

Hello tumhangkz, In the past I used Norton Antivirus and BitDefender 9 but I still had virus problems and because of it my system crashed when I wasn't expected to. Now I use NOD32 Antivirus and it works like a dream, my system never crashed after I put the antivirus. Take care and have a great day, ScarFace.

till now i have used quickheal, norton, AVG , Bitdefender , kaspersky. AVG is good for virus but when it comes to other malwares i doubt its performance. Norton is too heavy on ur system makes it pathetically slow. Bitdefender is really good. ANd kaspersky is all time best choice.

I use Avira and I think it is the best up-to-date antivirus. Recntly I have recovered form a severe virus named "Worm-SOHANAD". I searched on the internet that how can I recover my computer from it then I read the whole article on Avira's website and downloaded it. No other antivirus was working but avira worked and flushed out that Virus from my PC and now it is working fine.

Before I used Norton, AVG, Mcafee and PC-cillin. but one proves to be most effective NOD32 Smart Security. nod32 really cleans my infected files and protects my pc from viruses, trojans and other malicious programs. it also has a great firewall. i really recommend this antivirus program.

I am using now the Antivira AntiVir Classic Edition. This is a free software which comes with a free update everyday. So you better try it.

AVG free, as far as im concerned it doesnt hog many resources! Did I mention ITS FREE!

Kaspersky is the best !

I started w/ Nortons and was satisfied, but my family and I decided to switch to Avast Home Edition due to the fact that it is FREE! we are just as satisfied, if not more satisfied w/ Avast...its fast, and not very resource hungry! ~j

Hi, Well to answer your question I do not use any antivirus software. This because my server automaticly backs up my software. Every month it does a clean install of my system and puts back my files (i need to tell it what files to backup but i just have some basic folders). This works great. I have use some antivirus software in the past. I have used mcafee, kaspersky and norton. I don't like mcafee because it seriously decreased my systems speed. As for norton they got better when they grew. Kaspersky is just strange it works fine but don't ask me how good it is (heared its one of the best). As for backing up my pc I use norton save and restore. Nice clean interface and mainly because I have my connections at norton ;) (meaning I get it for free ;)). With kind regards, MOnline

I have Kaspersky on my system. Never had any problems with it & would'nt think of changing to any other software, Kaspersky does it all.

Yes, Now i am using Avast as my antivirus, because i think Avast is: light, efective, not using lot of RAM like norton. Since i am using Avast i'd rather longer not formating my HD, so Thanks to Avast. But also there are good av beside avast are: Kaspersky, and ESET Nod32 those are the best one but paid av.

I used AVG from Grisoft. It is free and easy to use and functions well on my computer. I can't afford Norton and any other Anti-virus software that is for sale.

I use AVG antivirus. Comparing all av's this product consumes less processing memory so that our system doesn't gets hung up at any overload situations.

The most effective antivirus program for my private use is NOD32, easy to use and truly effective! I use it for 4 years on my computer and never had any problems. In the company that i work as system administrator, we use Sophos. Great choice for bigger companies.
