how young is too young?

Good question heidi - I don't have any teenagers but I do have nephews and neices who have bebo accounts online and they are aged 14-18. Bebo is like myspace and facebook. I think both parents have access to their accounts, well I hope they do as if it were my child, I would want to have access too. How mature is your daughter? is it just to have access with her friends? is her account going to be open or private? how do you feel about her spending time online with her friends? do you think she is sensible enough to have a online page? I don't know if I am asking the right questions but some of these come to mind. I really don't know if 12 is too young but part of me thinks it is. I'm sorry if I was not much help.

My daughter is 4 so far to young for a myspace. But I do have cousins that are 10, 11, and 13 that all have one. As long as its private and you monitor it to make sure she is just talking to school friends and family I think it should be fine.
