How many of you the photographers/photo enthusiasts do really care for your collections or the old collections accumulated in your house?

I know people that keep all their photographs in albums, discarding those that they no longer want. It is easier with digital cameras because you can simply keep the photos on disks. I am currently taking some of my older photographs (family ones that go back to the 19th century) and having them published into a small book. This is quite cheap, about US $16 per book. I will give copies to all my family.
