I am not great with suggesting names for pets but thought this story was kinda funny. I have a Shitz-poo and let my young daughter name it when we got her. She was like5 at the time, and came up with Tiny-nose Rainbow if you can believe that. There was a time we took the pup to the vet and they asked the name and my daughter told the lady...she roared laughing! I told her to just use Tiny. That name has stuck ever since and does suit her.
I kinda like Gizmo...

Although it feels cruel not to have a name yet, it is great to have a perfectly matching name. Congrats on the adoption. Awww, sounds cute and lovable.
You don't have to give him a "puppy dog" kind of name. My first cat (who I will always love!), as I was a small child back then, we named him Potato Chips as we found out he was crazy about potato chips. But other names for our pets were names compatible with humans too. (Like Archie, Cindy, etc.).
Happy tails!

Hi Pelita65,
My theory on pet's names is this: ths smaller the pet, the bigger the name it should get. I don't know why, I just find it fun. I had a hamster named Julius Cesar, hahaha.
So a male Shitzu... I would name him Lancelot. Or Lord something... Lord Lancaster?
Well, don't mind me, I'm just trying to help. Please let me know what the final choice is.
=)

Names are so much fun. We had a little of pups recently and trying to come up with names can be interesting. We had Zen, Bandit, Diesel, Patches, Cisco, Smokey, Hunter, Apache, and Dakota. What kind of personality does he have?

Wow it is your friend. You love it very much. Sweet, sweetie or sweaty are the sweet names for your dog. This shows and represents your love with your dog. You can also call it lovely. Mine was pinky. But I lost that.

i just bought a dog and the name i gave it is benckister, the reason being that she was infected with some parasites then i bought an antiseptic to eradicate them which functioned effectively. so you can derive a name based on circumstances surrounding the dog and the purchase. feed it very so that it grows big

My dog's name is Booboo. I like two-syllable names, coz that way it is easier to call her. There is a website that can suggest dog names, you can start with the letter A: http://petrix.com/dognames/a.html
