I am incredibly sick of being sick. I am still hacking and coughing and my nose is dry and stuffy. Its miserable. I take the benadryl medicine that I can take. I can not take the sudafed cold/sinus meds because my cardiologist will not allow it. I am sooo beyond annoyed with this mess. I am sleeping miserably because of it. And then there are the nightmares... Blah!

I am a mini mess. I think my immune system just is down a little. I am probably going to try to get some new vitamins or something. I am having some other issues too. So, that is all that I can think is its my immune system too low. I tend to stay sick a lot. But, this is crazy. They were saying on the news last night that the flu is worse than ever this year. I know my husband who is rarely sick has been pretty ill this year with it as well.

Well I guess it's the same all over then because here in Canada they're saying the same thing that this is the worse it's been. Here if you have a health condition or over the age of 65 you're entitled to free flue shot every year. I fall under health risk so I qualify and I really do believe it helps a lot. I never had a flue shot in my life but after my heart attack I was told by doctors I should have it and I do.

I know what you mean. I don't have problems taking any medicine and I still feel miserable when I am sick, can't imagine if I'm limited in my choices of medication.
I get nightmares even when I'm not sick so that part I get used to it although sometimes it's really disturbing.

I am sorry that you have this nasty cold virus. It sounds much worse than what my daughter has at the moment. Hers is a head cold, with headaches, a raised temperature & being very lethargic.
Benadryl works very well in relieving sypmtons, so keep taking this.
Try taking more Vitamin C & garlic. Drink plenty of water & eat healthily.
Good Luck.

I'm sorry you are sick. I had strep throat last year and thought I was gonna die. We didn't have insurance and I didn't go to the doctor but we were lucky enough to have someone else to get us some penicillin for it. I hope you feel better soon because I sure know how misrerable sickness can make you feel.

Have you tried calling a local health store for some natural things you could take to bring about relief? I know I have had hot tea with honey in it before to help lossen congestion in the chest/nose. I have heard that honey/lemon, my mom used to make that for my brother and it worked. Once I had a cough that was so deep & had it for a long time and would keep the entire family awake all night, and my mother even started cussing about it, but my step dad got up one night and made me drink a tablespoon of vodka or gin or something, maybe whiskey and you know it helped. The 1st nights rest I had had. I went to the dr. after that and was diagnosed with I think bronchitis. But the whiskey helped better than anything. But ask your cardilogist first. Hope you get to feeling better soon my friend.
