Scientists are seeing massive species die-offs in the parts of the Pacific Ocean. It's caused by reduced levels of oxygen in the water, which they beleive may be a by product of global warming.

This makes me really sad. We are affecting the planet in ways that we can't even anticipate. And yet nobody seems willing to do anything about it.

You are absolutely right, NOBODY seems to care ,pisses me of to, if you see the program six degrees influence on the world on NGC it is horrible .The Great Barrier Reef dying off slowly but surely in Australia. Instead of that We would rather spend more money on wars and earmarks ,and other crab out there , there is so much need around us, instead of that we like to kill everything around us! it is to bad, to us they won't listen ,unless you start a world movement or are important like Al Gore Or Bono!

It can be really discouraging. I live in Canada and our current Prime Minister is an embarrassment when it comes to environmental issues.
