I really appreciate the Melbourne CBD Tourism. They provide free City Circle trams run around the CBD, every 12 minutes from 10am-6pm everyday. Old trams but still good and free. Tourist information is often available on board. They provide free bus services too, known as Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle. The buses run at 15 minute intervals between 9:30am and 4:30pm every day The free bus stops at key tourist destinations in and around the city. Is there any free transportation for tourist in other city in this world? I wonder...

I have been to Melbourne and really liked it there. The old trams are very enjoyable to travel on. The best one of all is the one you describe the free city circle tram. The Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle is an excellent service as well. I think these must help tourists get around to see the sights and perhaps many local people use the services instead of driving. I imagine car parking is expensive in the center so a free bus and tram services are great go have. I remember Perth had a free circular bus service too. In my home country the UK Bristol has a free bus that travels from Temple Meads train station to the shopping area, hospitals and university. It runs every half an hour during the day time.

Thanks for the information about Perth and Bristol. I seldom find a local people using the free services too, but I usually see the Asian students. They should use it and be a personal volunteer tourist guide. Better than using their cars and helping the tourism too.

That's true, Melbourne is the most liveable city in this world with its amazing tourism and people. When I was there, I can't believe with their best transportation. By the way, why did you get lost? They provided the maps at the airport and many places in the city.
