If that men who Don't smoke & drink is not real men?

Seems everybody know that smoking and drinking are not benefit for our health...but seems more and more people like to smoke and drink...
and there is a funny story for smoking and drinking:
a guy go to cisit his parents-in-law in the first time...and his parents are very satisfy with his work,his family...and all other things...seems so smooth this time...at last...his future father-in-law ask for him another questions:
do you smoke?.......oh,no,no
do you drink?.......oh,sorry,I can not
do you like gamble sometimes?......oh,I never do it
......
after that guy go back home,and get the failure result soon...and he wanna know why he failed...for that father-in-law think that man doesn't smoke/drink is not a real man...
friends on mylot.If you are a man...do you smoke and drink?
If you are a girl/woman,do you like a man who like smoke/drink?
If you also agree with that father-in-law?

Actually my husband doesn't smoking and drinking. But no one who around us will think he is not real man. We can not judge a man is a real man or not by whether he smoking & drinking or not.
And I do not like other people who smoking in front me. It's not good for my health.
And if it possible, I don't want my son smoking when he become a adult.

I don't smoke.And now I give up drink.4 yeas ago,I drunk a lot,suddenly had s stomache.At first,I didn't pay attention to it, I thought it just nothing,as the time past,even worse.The appendicitis,because of drunk.
From then on,I never drink.

Of course not, a man is not more masculine if he smokes and drinks.
Besides, I prefer a man that doesn't smoke because I hate smoke. I wouldn't stand that. For me a man that doesn't smoke is smarter than a one who does, only because he was smart enough not to start smoking.
About drinking, I don't mind if a man drinks, although I prefer one that doesn't. I wouldn't like a drunk one or something like that. My boyfriend doesn't drink and I don't like drinking so I really prefer like that.

hello, i think it's just a funny story.maybe many people especially men agree with u, but as a girl, i want to marry with a man without such bad habit including smoking and drink.in fact,a man who doesn't smoke&drink gets high scores when valued as a role of husband in china. hehe, i'm looking for that person!

probability for that is only 10%. Men who dont smoke and drink matters to what any reasons in life. Maybe some men do that because they do clean living, as well as psychologically its a healthy behavior, Thats why men who smoke and drink are fixed from their developmental stages in life. Regression in the past and unable to cope with it.

My husband does not smoke and if he did we never would have gotten married. My mom is a smoker and I absolutely despise the smell of it!
My husband drinks ocassionally but not on a regular basis.

thats so ignorant , that doesnt mean nothing i dont drink that much only at certain time , and its only like 1 or 2 cups and i dont smoke at all..i think thats alot peoples views on men , like if you dont drink or smoke what else do you do for fun ? ..ive gotten that question so many times
