What is emo?

According to my daughter (who isn't Emo) it stands for emotional. However, Wikepedia says that it is "a style of rock music which describes several variations of music with common stylistic roots. That's clear then! Personally I know nothing about the music, but the fashion, especially that of young men, is quite ludicrous. But I suppose that is what people thought of me in 1977 when I wore an Afghan coat and had 3 feet of hair.

Emo means an emotional hardcore and sadness...emo music are very nice...especially when it all about breakup

Emo is like slang for emotional young people; they often express their depressed-ness by wearing all black, and having bangs [hair] covering most of their face. :P
