For me the answer is no, but it sure would help! LOL. I am a firm believer in money isn't everything, so having a million dollars wouldn't take all the problems in my life away. It would probably make things easier, although with my luck it would probably just give me more problems LOL. I think I will just stick with what I got..poor, but basically happy. :)

For us, it would solve the vast majority - maybe all - of our problems. With 1million dollars we could be debt free, my husband could go to the college of his choice (for 2 years it cost 70K and that is absurd!), I could get a new car now, we would have a house, and my son would go to private school. We could easily live off the interest. I can't think of any other problem I have at the moment LOL

I feel exactly like you :)
It sure wouldn't take all the problems away, but it would help to take some of the more stressful.
I don't aspire to be rich. Been there, done that and left all the t-shirts back home when I left:)
But I would like to have enough money to have a roof over my head, pay my bills on time and have a decent life. Maybe even enjoy a vacation every once in a while:)
1 million dollars is not that much anymore when we think about it.Not when a house - not even a mansion or a palace, but just a regular house - costs almost 500 thousand dollars in here.
IN the Toronto area the average price for a house - again nothing special, just a house and not even that good - is about 350 thousand dollars. The price does not vary much in the are around toronto and I guess we need to move about 100 km to start seing a smaller difference in prices.
In any case, back to our discussion LOL would it solve all my problems? Of course not. But it would certainly make my life easier and less stressful, so it would be a big help and would give me the time and energy I needed to try and solve the rest:):):)

I don't know if it would solve all of my problems but I am willing to bet that it would solve a good bit of my problems lol I really wish that someone would give me a chance to answer this question...by giving me a million dollars and letting me test it out for them...I have always heard that money can't buy happiness but I think that I am willing to give it a shot to try and prove that theory wrong because I think that I would be extremely happy if I had alot of money lol

Your right money isn't every thing. But as my Mary Kay director put it ... money doesn't buy happieness but it does give you more options. Okay so for your questin. Most of my problems would be solved if I was handed a million dollars. I could pay off my house, 2 cars and start the business I have always wanted. It would be nice ... are you offering?? I'll send my address! lol - have a great day!

It would help a little, but I would think, why did I not get it when I needed it, when I was in my twenties, and I could have paid for the fertility treatments to help me get pregnant or why could when I got married, pay for a house all at once instead of giving up things because we had to pay the mortgage, why could I not get in in time to upgrade my education so I could be a nurse instead of an office worker, and do something beneficial and useful.
I cannot understand how a million dollars now can help me, my adopted sons are in their own places, I do not see my granddaughter that much, and there is only so many times you can travel around the world.

No, all my problems would not be solved. Sure this money would be a huge help to my family, but by the time we got done buying a house and a couple of vehicles (one for my husband for work, the other for myself and the kids), the money would be just about gone, especially with the high prices of homes in California. After all, a million dollars does not go far in this day and age in the US, and unless it is tax free it will go even faster. So realistically it would only do so much.
I'd still have some of the problems I do now as some of these will never change, no matter how much money there is, the only difference is that I would be dealing with them in my own home instead of the rented one I'm living in. :P

I think that much money would be more trouble then it was worth so I would probably give it to charity after paying off any debts I had and buying a car and a house (not expensive ones just what I need)

A milion dollars really isn't that much now a days. With my position (job) I couldn't leave my job with such a prize. The insurance (my daughter has a medical condition) and state retirement would be lost if I left my job. I would simply buy a house, get a new car and then put the rest for my children's education. A million dollars? Chicken feed. Get back with me with maybe 5 or 6 and we'll talk! :-)

Would all my problems be solved? Yes, I think the only real issues we have are financial. Managing our bills, we're okay, but saving for a home and retirement is hard.
If I had a million, I'd only work the minimum amount of hours to qualify for health insurance benefits, invest much of the rest in company stock and put money in my IRA.
After the house, the rest of the $$ would go into savings and after collecting interest for two yrs, I'd quit the JOB and continue with my home businesses.
Handing me a million certainly wouldn't hurt...LOL

Maybe not all my problems but damn well near all of them! :-P What I wouldn't do with million dollars, man! Pay off my debts, buy two new cars (one for me and one for the hubby), perhaps a new wardrbe for us both and the rest of course I would donate to God...
While, I don't think money is going to get us everylasting life or what have you, it sure will make this life a bit easier at times. So, as Cuba Gooding Jr. sang in Jerry McGuire and I quote, "Show me the money, show me the money!" Yeah baby!!!

Yes it won't solve all my problems but it would help a lot for me to pay my bills, support my whole family and maybe have my own house. Wish now I had 1 million dollars I wouldn't be complaining on it that it won't solve all my problems as long as it's handed to me now..lol..:)

My answer for this will be no. It will even add up more problems. I will think of things I will do with the money, so that is one problem ;D. And for sure there are people that will introduce themselves as one of my relatives. And more people will want to befriend me becuase of the money-I always hear this with instant millionares. With this, I wouldn't know if they are true friends or just because of the money.
So in conclusion, I would rather have a life with enough money to live by in that way I will still have few but sincere friends than having a million dollars.

Money can buy a lot of things, but not happiness, I know, been there done that, was married to money.......left after 5 years. It wouldn't solve any problems, but it would pay off a few things, which would be nice. I certainly wouldn't stop working, I just got my dream job last year! And the very first thing I would do is pay off my parents house, and then buy us a house and pay off our toys....mustang and harley, lol.

ALL "financial" PROBLEMS only...
money can't buy happiness...
but money is one of the "facilitators" of happiness...
money can't buy love
but love can't buy food.
heheh...just kidding, but its true!

Hello Kymommy,
For me, I do believe that not all problems can be answered by money. Not all things can be bought by money. and money is not everything we need.
It will maybe help you to buy foods, stuff that you like, treat other people, helping other who needs your money. But it will not be assurance that you will be having a wonderful life with easiness if you have money. Because it is not only money that we need. Far more important is love and happiness that money can't buy.

all of them, no - but a lot of them probably
one of them I'd pay off debt, then get my sugery (which I a m very slowly saving for) and a home! (then put the rest in stock)
