Necroing on Mylot

I know it is generally discouraged to 'necro' a thread on a normal forum. It tends to cause issues with continuity of discussion, and is also just plain annoying.
Yet, somehow it strikes me as a little bit different on Mylot. Maybe it's the fact that the date of posting is written off in tiny lettering, or maybe it's because aren't all in one list to be bumped quite the same way.
What is the general consense on this?

Thank you for explaining this term, and I have never understood why bringing new information up on an old discussion would every be considered disruptive or annoying as long as it addressed a question that remained unanswered or shed new light on the subject. If the person failed to read all of the other comments then it would be really annoying.
Here on myLot I should think all members who are still active would not only accept but greatly appreciate any nice reply to any discussion, especially the old ones. You may necro any of my discussions at any time and I wish more people would, too. In fact, even though none of your discussions could be very old, I believe I shall go and see if it is possible to necro any of yours right now. Welcome to mylot!
