My fellow mylotter and friend pyewacket started an excellent discussion on the possible health risks associated with taking medications http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1407697.aspx and I wanted to provide everyone here with an Rx Prescription Drug Checker so you can check all the medications you take to make sure there are no interactions. If you do find any, do not stop taking your medicine, you must consult your physician. Not all of the pharmacies provide this information. http://www.drugstore.com/pharmacy/drugchecker/default.asp?atrx=dps-16&atrxp1=132219&atrxp2=1&atrxp3=%2Fpharmacy%2Fdrugchecker%2Fdefault%2Easp&atrxp4=10663

Yes this is a very good site, medicines should not be mixed at all, some you can and some you can't when it comes to cholesterol you never take more than one kind,it can cause all kinds of health problems.

A lot of people here are into doing little exercising every day like walking, bike riding, stepping, maybe you would be interested in that too, it helps to lower the bad cholesterol also.

A very useful piece of information. This is great link indeed. If more people are aware of it, then more people could be saved from the risk of having medication side effects. Nowadays, everything seems to be super convenient and information could be easily accessed from the internet. Thanks for such good sharing!

Its sad to know doctors are subscribing medications that will make you have other problems. I would be visiting a new doctor, if my doctor had the reaction in this post. Its sad that a doctor wouldn't have a problem with the patient getting gallstones.

It is a shame, he is basically telling me to pick my own poison. I need to look for another doctor, I don't like this.

Well, a lot of the different ones I take are not mentioned here. I know though from experience, it pays to be Proactive. I always come home once I start taking a New med, and do some research on the Internet finding out the side effects, etc. I am also Insulin Diabetic so for me it pays to investigate especially when something is not working on me like it should. The problem I tend to see, is there are still too many Doctors and Nurses out there who hate when a patient takes control like this, and are still seriously old fashioned. But thanks for suggesting this site and tips.
