I'm going to the Scrapbook EXPO... are you? or have you gone to one?

I am so excited! I went last year to the Scrapbook EXPO (the smaller one) and missed the larger one in another town 6 months later... And so I promised myself I would be able to go again in February. The day has finally arrived... and for the first time, I am able to go sans (without) children!!!! Yeah, me!I am SO looking forward to learning some new techniques and maybe attending a work shop. I learned chalk embossing last year. This year there is so much new stuff out there and so much to learn!
So, have you ever been to an EXPO? What did you learn? Who were your favorite exhibitors and why? I'm hoping to learn from all of you as well, so spill...! Thanks!

Great, good for you! I have never been to one of those because I am not living in the states, but I do think if I am offered a chance, I would love to go explore. That would be so much fun and indeed scrapbooking just becomes one of my hobbies *smiles*. Have fun there and let us know what you have "learned" there!

Sorry you don't have that great of access to one. Hopefully you will, soon. However, I have heard about a "virtual" expo/show... maybe you could attend that... online!

That sounds like so much fun! I haven't ever been to a scrapbook expo, but I'd definitely be interested in going to one sometime. I just recently started scrapbooking, so I didn't realize that there even were scrapbook expos! lol I will definitely have to try to find out if there is one near me anytime soon!

I've been to a number of them. The very first time I was like a kid in a candy store. I took a few classes and spent way too much in the vendor area. The second time I did the special crop night. I don't take the classes anymore because I don't feel like paying for them. I like Heidi Swapp - I got to meet her at her booth one year. It's neat to see all the new stuff. I got to the point that I only take as much money as I want to spend, because sometimes I just can't control myself with all the cool stuff!
