children love to imitate the people around them. even the people they see freguently on tv.
my son now knows hot to dance becasue he sees it on TV. he also now knows hot to brush his teeth and demands for a brush as soon as he wakes up because he sees his dad do that every morning. it is funny and happy to see a child when he imitates something, but of course it is irritating if he copies somthing that is not nice. this is the stage were we parents should be extra careful on our actions and words to say because they will pick up easy and learn it.

Children's mind are like blank tapes. It records anything that it can. YOu're right, parents must be extra careful as to what type of environment children get exposed to. There's a little boy in our neighbor who is addicted to tv and everything that comes out of his mouth is from TV, it's good they only watch noontime shows which are not violent in nature.

my children learn chores at the house just seeing me do it. then slowly they are the ones who makes it before i can. kids really do imitate what they see, not just with you but with anything and everything.
