Some people are akward and shy when it comes to dancing and yet if you are like me, if I'm home alone and I don't think anyone can see I like to dance. I'll even dance with my children. They'll say to me "Mommy, do the sexy dance". LOL. I wouldn't dare do any of those moves though if anyone else is around. Do you dance when you are home by yourself? Do you care if others see you gyrating and giving it your all? Or do you freeze up and can't move a muscle?

i'm a little like joyce in this case. i don't really have talent for dancing but i do like to watch people dance. i definitely fall into the akward and shy category when it comes to dancing for me. simply put, i freeze as you say. or even if i can move, i can definitely feel my face burning. i worry that people can see me turning red.
although i like to see people dance, i don't think i would like the talent of dancing as i really feel uncomfortable. i mean i like dancing but not only can't i dance in front of people, i find it awkward to dance alone too. i will dance for a while, then suddenly, i'll feel like a fool or feel stupid to say the least.
i just can't feel comfortable even when i'm alone. i can imagine the dance steps in my head though, can follow how others are doing it and all and in my head, it all seems so easy but like they said, when i attempt it alone, of course, it doesn't feel right.

I'll dance when I'm alone, but when I'm in public I have to have had something to drink otherwise I move like a robot.

Too bad you have to be a star to be on that program, otherwise it sounds like its the place for you. LOL.

I can't dance, but in my room sometimes I dance alone. Watching "Shall We Dance?" I tried dancing with myself:) Sometimes I thought it's funny. But, I did it.
I do care if someone see me dancing, cause I think I can't dance.

I have to admit I still have inhibitions when it comes to dancing, I get paranoid and think everyone is watching me and laughing, so I am very very reluctant to get up on the dance floor! I fear I am showing myself up. But last Saturday night I went to a disco and my friends couple who was in her 80s was forever on the dance floor and kept asking me to dance, finally I relented and I got up and got into the music, it was the 80s which helped a great deal, anyone I actually got a few compliments for my dancing which made me feel much better. I don't drink so I don't even have the drink giving me the added confidence

Thats good because for me to be able to dance in public I have to have a few drinks to relax. I don't drink too much anymore, very rarely, but then again I don't really go out anymore either. Don't know how I'd get through dancing if I had to. LOL.

Dancing while you exercise is a good way to exhibit your dancing abilities. I never thought about that.

When it comes to dancing, I feel akward and shy. But I like watching shows and other persons dancing. When I am just watching, as if its easy to do the steps, but when i try to do it on my own, I find it is so hard to follow the steps. I know I was not given the talent of dancing, but I wish I could dance a little bit.

I think dancing takes practice and you have to have a natural feel for it.

I'm an exhibitionist too at heart and I can't sing either, so you are not alone. LOL.

I can so relate! I have never been one that could dance in public but at home, I actually can dance pretty well. I am just way too self concious, I guess. Also danced with my girls when they were little but very rare and only with many drinks could i ever dance in public.

I LOVE to dance.
Probably because I'm pretty awful at it as far as style and talent go.
I'm just super enthusiastic, and I certainly don't care who sees me or what they think if I'm enjoying myself.
I dance when I'm home alone, when I'm in the supermarket (especially when I have a trolley =P) and at school... And everywhere.
Although I rarely go to events where dancing is a main event =P
