what do you think pushes a person to kill?

im just into meditation...
if someone is overwhelmed by his or her emotions.. we can do the unthinkable..
its sad, because humans are just bond to do right or wrong.. others do it right but unfortunately, others do it wrong..
why do you think a person can kill despite knowing it is a sin?
what if someday, you came into this situation.. will you be tempted to kill?
