Small or Large Family?

There are divergent views on which is better. Some argue that the small family has given parents a new sense of the value of the child while the wives have little or no interference with their chosen careers. It is also their belief that the small family falls in line with the modern scientific care of children which easily advocates for, say between two and four children per family. But on the other hand, proponents of the old fashioned large family see taking care of a large family as an adequate life work and a more absorbing occupation for women which ultimately, leads to a certain level of self-realisation. What is your take?

I know that there are a lot of factors that come into play when deciding on whether someone wants to have a small or large family. Money and emotional issues would definitely be a problem in a large family compared to a small one. But, for me, I hope that when I grow up, I will have 2 children of my own (one girl, one boy hopefully) and 2 adopted children. =D

I believe that parents should be responsible enough to plan for their children's future. It's not fair especially for the children to be in a very big family when the parents could not even provide their needs. Parents should consider their capacity, financial that is, to raise a very big family. Personally, I would love to have at least 2 children and 4 at most.
