in your family.......

We both are in charge, since we both work and have seperate accounts. I was in a marriage where he did all of it, and I just spent the money, and I was also in a marriage where I did all of the bill paying and finances. There is just one thing you should think about, although this arrangement works great for you, what if something happened to your husband? You need to at the least have him show you what bills you have and when they are due, and the basics of balancing a checkbook, it's really no that hard and you don't have to be a rocket scientist, and at least you would have the basics if you ever had to do it.

Well both of my parents handle our finances and I deal with my own since I live with them. I like dealing with it now since I'm learning it before I move out and have more responsibilities.

Well seeing as I still live at home I pay bills like Internet/cable, my car insurance, and other things that I am signed up for....I also balance my own checkbook I hav ea checking/savings account I'm good at saving money & not spending...I file my own papers/bills in a organizer....So I pretty much do my own finances and help out as well. This we'll help me get used 2 it for when I do decide to move out which will be soon....

In our marriage its me who balances the books!!...or tries hard to....you have to have a `bank manager` !!! As hubby says if it were him we would go broke!!!!!!!!!!
