It will start to grow in the belly area, and then it will spew little hampsters! lol sorry i have no idea other then common sense... Do you think its pregnant ? I found some answers for you: - You can tell when your hamster is pregnant by observing her behavior. When a hamter is expecting babies, she will become much more active. Also, you will notice her "nesting." When hamsters next, they often pile up thier bedding in one area of the cage and hide food under it. I noticed this when i was cleaning my pregnant hamsters cage both times she had babies. ALSO, 3-5 days before the birth you should be able to notice a bumb in the hamsters belly. - after a week your hamsters nipples will poke out and show, also she will be very heavy and drink a lot of water. - If your hamster has had the opportunity to become pregnant, gestation is roughly 4 to 5 weeks. As the hamster gets closer to delivery, you may see moving bumps in her stomach. In any case, remove the male from the cage and place the cage in a quiet place away from household activity. The babies will be tiny, hairless and will be very dependent on the mother so you don't want to disturb her, especially in the early days. Hamsters can mate at around 8 to 10 weeks, and are weaned at about 4 weeks, so you will need to make arrangements once the babies are born. Thanks Sissygrl, your information helps a lot. I guess I'm a bit impatient to see new baby hamsters and take care of it/them as well.

Once your hamster is pregnant you will see that her belly area expand specially during her first pregnancy but sometimes if it is not her first pregnancy you can't easily detect that your hamster is pregnant because her belly is already stretch and sometimes you think it is just normal so you've got to observe her changes carefully. The pregnant hamster also experience behavioural changes. Like being more aggressive, sometimes she don't want to be touch. Sometimes she even bites the one who touch her. You can also notice that she is storing food in one side. The hamster are not sensitive in pregnancy. They are still active. They play and do the things they used to do. Hamsters are responsible one. they know how to handle themselves.
