What is your favorite scripture from the Bible? Or do you have one? If you don't read the Bible, do you have a favorite passage from your own beliefs? I have a hard time reading the Bible b/c I tend to get confused with all the thee's and thou's but I do have favorite passages that stand out with me. Here are my top 4 (in no particular order). I also have a saying on my desk that says
GOD GIVES EVERY BIRD IT'S FOOD BUT HE DOESN'T THROW IT INTO IT'S NEST
I love that one. Here are my others...let's hear what yours are. If you have a favorite section of the Bible, add that too.
PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY PEACE I GIVE YOU. John 14:27
COME TO ME ALL WHO ARE WEARY AND HEAVY-LADEN AND i WILL GIVE YOU REST. Matt. 11-28
...BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD. Joshua 24:15
AND ALL THINGS YOU ASK IN PRAYER BELIEVING YOU SHALL RECEIVE. Matt. 21:22
**AT PEACE WITHIN**
~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

My favorite scriptures from the bible are the 23rd Psalms and Joshua 24:15. I get confused too sometimes when I'm reading the bible. I bought the New King James version thinking I would understand it better, it helped a little bit. But thats why I pay attention to the sermon in church because the preacher breaks it down to where we can understand it.

I have several verses in the Bible that I think about in my everyday life.I know what you mean when you say it is sometimes hard to understand.I believe we need to be spiritual minded in order to really understand and comprehend it.
'Judge not that ye be not judged.'Matthew 7:1
'God is our refuge and strenght,a very present help in trouble.'Psalms 46:1
I forgot to ask if you have ever read the New International Version Bibles. They may give you a better understanding. They don't have all the thee's and thou's lol.

I'm a bible believer, and one of my favorite this is even my life verse. I was even named after this prophet. It is jeremiah 29:11-13 "For i know the plans i have for you thus says the Lord, plans to prospr you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future. and you will call me and i will be found by you."
Even now that i'm replying this it always reminded me of this wonderful promises.

Corinthians 13 4-7
Love is patient; love is kind love is not envious or boastful or arrogrant or rude. It does not insist on its own way it is not irritable or resentful it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things believes all things hopes all things endures all things.
I have a hard time being kind some days so this sets me straight. god bless

my favourite is
16. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

This is what stands out most in my mind is John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This really packs a punch with me because I consider myself a very good lady and there's very little I wouldn't do to help anyone, but don't mess with my daughter. I would never give her up for anyone, and I say my prayers everyday for her well being and safety that's just the way it is folks.

Mine is: "Fear not for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are MINE." Isaiha 43:1
My Bible study group gave me this before I left Texas on a cross. I say it everyday to remind myself where my heart and soul rests each day. And to give me hope because everyday we fall short in what we are suppose to do for the Glory of God; but it's ok because He still seeks me by name. How wonderful a promise is that?!

twoey68:
My favorite scripture is Phillippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he who began to do a good work in you, will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
The reason this is my favorite verse is, often in my life I've been overwhelmed by a sence of worthlessness, of his goodness and time. I've since learned to respond to these feelings of worthlessness, with this verse and, in my heart I know that all my life wasn't bad, so I hold fast to his promises that he will perform in my life his purpose. So I will just be patient and remember, Not by might nor by power, but by thy spirt says the lord.

I am not a bible thumper and I do not live my life out of a book. I have read some of the passages but not too many. I feel that we have free will and free choice and that is what gets us where we need to be. When I was a little girl my Gram's loved the lord prayer and she said it every night. I can remember hearing her late at night. That was the first prayer any of us kids learned. We are a family of many religions and no religion.
There was a passage on the wall of a Catholic church I attened that said something in the order of Thou your sins be as red a scarlot I will wash them white as snow. This was a good thought to me because I am a sinner.
Well as you see I am not up on the bible.

hello there to U...i would say that i am always reading the BIBLE ever since i was 12 yrs.old...i always make up to the point that i'm going to read even atleast 9 chapters a day, 4 chapters from the New Testament, and 5 chapters from the Old Testament...it became my hobby, until it came to the point that i've read the entire BIBLE, thank GOD and i was still 12 yrs.old that time...now that i'm 23, i am always busy at work, i would admit there are times, i would only read a few from the BIBLE like 2 chapters a day...but i always make it to the point i could read 4-9 chapters a day, even if i am so busy...
Reading the BIBLE became my daily routine...my day would be incomplete without reading it...the BIBLE became my favorite book ever since...this is my favorite book ever in the whole world...and for me, this is the Best book of all times ever...i am so thankful to GOD for having a BIBLE for all of us to read it...it's a way of knowing GOD, through the BIBLE, we will know what's the truth behind all HIS creations...and i am so thankful that i've known HIM...through this beautiful book, it's like we're communicating to our GOD...
I have so many favorite passages in the BIBLE...but what's struck me the most is this passage from John 20:29 "Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."
I love that passage because it talks about faith in GOD...even though we haven't seen HIM, yet we have believe...that passage will remind us that GOD is really there watching over and loving us truly...and i truly believe that GOD will never fail us, HE will never leave us, nor forsake us...let us believe, have faith professing with good works, and let us put GOD in the center of our lives...
I am blessed to know that you do read the BIBLE and that you have some favorite passages...having a BIBLE at home is a blessing...i would say this is a beautiful discussion, talking about what's our favorite BIBLE passage...have a blessed day ahead of U...may GOD BLESS U & UR family always!!!
