What do you think of Pitbulls?

Hi, I do not own a pitbull but I must say I think they look pretty dangerous. A few friends of mine do own a pitbull but as I said they LOOK dangerous but are very loving animals. I myself own a german sheepdog and they just play very nicely together. I do think the media gives pitbulls a bad name. Everytime I hear a kid being bit by a dog its a pitbull. But I guess its like everything. You only hear the bad things and never the good ones. There are just a few that spoil it all for everybody. With kind regards, MOnline

I have 2 that are 1/2 pits and they are the biggest babies I have ever seen. I think that pits get a raw deal in the media. My grandparents live near Houston and they are always telling me about attacks down there and that I should get rid of mine. I told them that I will not because they are good dogs. I also tell them that any dog can be trained to be mean. Also any dog can attack someone. I think Pitbulls are just very pretty dogs. I just don't like how the media makes them look soo bad

I think pitbulls are amazing dogs. I have never owned them, but I have worked with them at my PetsHotel. There was a big pitbull mix there, that was easily double (if not more) the size of a pure pit. And he was the sweetest! I sat on the floor with him and he sat in my lap (DEFENIATLY not a lap dog! lol) and he gave me kisses all over my face! =P Wonderful dog. I hate that they don't get fair media coverage. You only hear about all the pitbull attacks, you never hear the story where a pitbull saves children from a deadly snake (true story ;P). And you only see the stories about collies saving people, you never hear the story about 2 collies mauling an elderly lady (also a true story). Not fair at all!
