furniture for sale

I am soon going to be settling in to a place of my own...which is wonderful! Only bad thing, I have absolutly NO FURNITURE! LOL I don't have much to spend and really only need the basics. I was wondering if any of you out there know of any good websites that may point me to local stores that sell (or perhaps give away) furniture..maybe some second hand stores? I would appreciate any ideas!!

search yahoo groups for the state you live in for recycling group.please post free stuff for pick up on there.i hva gotten some nice stuff.people dont want to throw the stuff out.also you can post that you need furniture and people will reply to you.if you need more information send me a message i can help you.also call some social service place to see if there are any organization that will give you furniture:)good luck
