my father is an overweight person who has high blood pressure as well. his doctor suggested that he'd better to walk for a long time every day to loose weight.
thus he used to walk for an hour slowly after supper.i often take a walk with him as i hope to keep fit.
i witness a successful example what happened on my aunt, who was very weak before and start to walk three yers ago,keep walking twice a day,one hour each time.
in recent years, each time i see her,she becomes more slim and healthy than last time.

My mom has diabtes and so did my grandma so with a family history of it I have a better chance of getting it. I do like to walk but I have to listen to music while I am walking I like having a beat to walk to.
