Daytona 500: How Was It?

Well the big race is over and the new 2008 season is under way. There were several wrecks, but not the "big one" that I always look forward too. I also am a Jeff Gordon fan and it was pretty disapointing to see him leave the race so early. I really felt like he had an awesome car and had a great chance of winning. Hendrick had a pretty rough day with 3 out of his 4 drivers leaving the race with various problems. I was also very impressed by the Gibbs racing team and the Toyotas. The end was pretty good. I felt it was pretty exciting and I am happy for the Penske team and Ryan Newman. Lots of good drrafting and hard racing made the last couple of laps great. Anyway, how did you all like this years Daytona 500? Were you happy with the results, or were you unsatisfied? I am looking forward to the rest of this year's season and it is shaping up to be a great one.

I am a Tony and a Dale Jr fan and really thought that the race was going to come down to them fighting at the finish line. It almost was but it happened too soon. I am not a Jeff Gordon fan but it was a shame he had trouble with his car. It would have been nice to see the Hendricks team work together and maybe then Jr would have had a chance for the win. I was surprised that there was not a major wreck too, unusual for the Daytona 500. I am not a true Ryan Newman fan but I was glad he finally got his win there. With all the new changes this year, it looks like it will be another great season.

Yeah i don't think the Hendrick guys had a chance to get together. At the end, Junior was the only one left, ss he was kind of stuck out to dry.

I am a Jimmie Johnson fan so I am a little disappointed. It was a good race though and I am excited about the season.

Yeah tough break for all the Hendrick guys except for Junior. Oh well they will bounce back.

I am a big Tony Stewart fan. I would have liked to see him win today but I was still satisfied with the results.I think it was a great race down to the end. I also hope to see Jr.do good this year.I think he got a raw deal last year and things will be looking up for him this year.

yeah i thought Stewart had it. Oh well you can'y complain with a top five.
