Has your dog ever been injured or bitten?

My dog was bitten on the eye and the infection nearly killed him. He spent 2 days in hospital but when he came home he was still very sick and we could not get him to take his medication or eat so he went back to hospital yesterday and we are still waiting to hear if he has recovered enough yet to come home. I think he is out of danger now but I miss his waggy tail. There was no sign of a bite at all. Our first warning was when he stopped eating and then his eye swelled up.
Has anyone else ever had something like this happen to their dog?

We have two dogs in our home. They are named teng and quano. Teng got so sick when she was just a puppy. We thought she'll gonna die but she survived and she's a mommy of 4 now. The other one is quano, one time he was attacked by a cat owned by our neighbor, he got a scratched on his nose that swell for few days, the reason why he hate cats. he would go wild everytime he hears a meow lol. it so funny when my brother would immitate the cat's sound and quano would go around the house barking lol.

Cats can be trouble for dogs. The little dog I lost last Christmas was always crazy about chasing cats. I used to tease her as well making cat sounds and she would go chasing round the yard looking for it. My boy tries to make friends with every animal and that can be quite funny.

Luckily I've never experienced anything that bad! But when my dog was just a small puppy, our neighbor was fostering a rescue dog that had been abused and neglected by his previous owners. The first time my puppy ever met this dog, he was intimidated by the large foster dog. The foster dog saw this as a sign of weakness and attacked by puppy. He sunk his teeth into the back of my puppy and lifted him up off the ground. Luckily, we were able to safely get my puppy away from the other dog. He had a limp for a few days, but there were no severe injuries. My dog also doesn't have any fears of other dogs. He even came face to face with the same dog that attacked him a few months after the incident, and both dogs were fine around each other. The other dog now has a permanent, loving home and is doing very well!

My dog does not fear other dogs either. This is the first time I have ever had a dog injured by another. The little dog I lost last Christmas was attacked twice when I was walking her but she was never bitten. I chased the angry dog away but it was always lots of snarling and growling. My partner was walking cerby when it happened and he said the other dog snapped at his face and cerby growled but he did not think it had bitten him.
I am glad your dog is ok.
