Insurance companies can be the absolute pits!! I'm angry and upset right now!

My hubby and i are paying off our first home and have been here almost a year.Just 2 Fridays ago,we had an insane wind,rain and thunder storm and our fence got ripped down.Our insurance policy was renewed 4 days after and apparently the previous one didnt include the fence.So now we are up for full costs by the look of it. The fence that is broken cant be repaired.It needs replacing and it divides us from our neighbors.I need to speak to the owner somehow as the house is tenanted.I did call the real estate that they go through but have heard nothing since and i dont think i will until i hound them again. This is such bad timing and i'm so peeved at the insurance company.According to my policy,it says i'm fully covered except for accidental breakage but apparent not covered at all for the fence. I should just count myself lucky i guess.Some other locals fared much worse and lost their roof. The lady on the phone says my fence is insured for the next storm..geez thanks!LOL
