Indeed there is a reason.
MyLot presumes that by the time a user reaches 500 they will have had time to read all of the Guidelines and FAQs and wil have understood how they can and cannot use the privilege of copy/paste.
Sadly some misunderstand and end up losing their account.

Since "copy and paste" goes along with posting discussions and the pay out is only a consolation for earning through posts and referrals and other means to earn, I think it having a minimum of five hundred post before being able to do "copy and paste" is reasonable.
Well, that's just what I think.

I think it's good that ppl have to wait till 500 after all if their going to stick it out that long then their serious about sticking with the site and they've learned alot of the MyLot rules by that time.

I'm near payout again and still have yet to reach 500 posts. So I still think that mylot is missing out on a lot by not being able to copy and paste.

If everyone were honest that would work, but unfortunately there are people willing to try to take advantage of others even here on myLot, so overall, the 500 limit makes sense. You will be there in no time at all, though! Congrats on your first payout.

Hi,
I just wanted to say that I totally agree with you. I myself get really frustrated with the fact that I cant copy past. When I see an interesting article i dont just want to point to it I want to past it in mylot. And I don't want to type my signature everytime I just want to past. Also my internet crashes a lot so I want to copy it before submitting. What happens if my internet crashes well then i will have to type it all over again.
But it is a good drive to post more replies and create more discussions just to get a higher rating ;).

I have encountered the same thing. It promotes people to cheat and they don't even realize it
