I am Chinese and tried some food in China towns when I travelled around the world. I see western people having different kind of Chinese food there and wonder what part they like about it....
Have you ever tried and what do you like about the CHinese dishes (compared to western food)?

I don't know if it's traditionally Chinese, but at many restaurants out here I get Chow Mein, Fried rice, Fried Pork Skins, Mongolian Beef, and some sort of fried beef with salt and pepper. I find the taste very unique and strong. It has alot of flavor which I like.

Chow Mein and Fried Rice are traditional. Fried Pork Skins stem from Souther China while Mongolian Beef and those friend beef stem from the Mongolian area of China.
I will summarize and explain more when I see other posts.

I love the Chinese food we get here in America, but I have been told by Chinese friends that it is not what is typically eaten by the Chinese themselves. I love chow mein, fried rice, beef and broccoli, egg drop soup, lemon chicken, honey chicken, garlic chicken, and my favorite is crab rangoon!
