Hi friends,
I would like to share my joy and excitement. I am going to learn driving.... I always dreamed of driving a car but never dared. Now, that I joined a driving class, I feel so good. I feel that it is important to know driving. I feel that it gives one the freedom to move without depending on anybody. I have a car back at home but I always had to depend on other people. Once I start driving, I will not have to depend on anyone. I know it takes a lot of practice but at least I got started. It's never too late to learn anything.
I just wanted to share my joy with my mylot friends. Thanks for being there in good and not so good times.
Take care and God bless you .....

And one thing be careful and you take care.

Hey Dear
That's so great to know and yes I totally agree with you that one becomes independent when he/she knows how to drive. Driving is really a necessary thing and I am happy that you have started learning driving. What is the procedure of getting driving license in your city ?? In my city it's very easy -- people take bribe and you will get a driving license within few days. I guess in your country there might be very strict rules and regulations to follow to get a driving license .. right ?

Hi,
I am from India. I am currently in India. There in UAE, the law is little different. There we have left hand drive. Even if I get a license in India, I need to take a license from UAE. So, I thought since I am here now, I will learn here and then it would be easy for me to get license there.
Otherwise, all the rules there are very strict but it is a safe place in real.
Regards ..

You will feel greatly empowered when you have finished the class and get your license. In today's world, unless you live in a large city with lots of public transportation, you are stuck without a car. I wish you all the luck. I learned to drive standard transmission school bus at your age. I had a basic license, but this was something extra, and challenging. Have fun, continue being safe.

Hi,
First, thank you for your wishes. I already started feeling empowered just by the thought that I will learn driving. It is really important to learn driving in today's world. There is no age limit for learning. I am thankful to myself for making a decision on this and joining the class. You take care. Bye..

That's excellent new lavenderbloom. I am still trying to gather enough courage to join a driving class myself so i don't have to be dependent on my husband all the time. It's one of the reasons why my son doesn't have any afterschool activities because I can't drive him there :( I know I need to but I'm scared! any tips? LOL
Is it expensive to join?

Hi,
I am happy to hear that you really wish to learn driving. It will help you in many ways. I realized the importance and now I have gathered enough courage. There is nothing to be scared of. Think of your kids and the freedom that comes by learning to drive a car, you will walk straight to the driving class :). Any new thing that is unknown to us, is scary. So, when u start knowing it, or learn to drive, the scare thing will go and you will become more confident. I already had faced many problems without being able to move around with my kid even though we had a car. I had to depend on the driver or someone who knows driving so that I can take my child out. I am now in India and here the cost is like Rs.3000/- and it depends on driving school. You can check for Learning school in your area and ask for the details. I don't think it will be costly. But, you have to check with them.
So, get started now and feel the difference. Take care and don't be scared. All the best to you.

That's great and good luck in learning to drive. It will give you such a wonderful feeling of freedom and independence, that's for sure. You're absolutely right, it's never too late to learn. My husband's aunt learned at the age of 63. She was and still is a terrible driver, but that's a whole different story and I don't think her age had a thing to do with it.

Hi,
Thanks for your wonderful reply. You are right. Age has nothing to do with learning as long as you are interested in it. It's never too late to learn something new. I always admired people who knew driving and thought that one day I too will drive.
Now, I have finished my 3 class and I really like it. It will take time and practice to become a good driver. But, I am dedicated to it and will do it.
Take care..
