Hii Carol! Thank you!!! Well you´re close! A part of Brazilian culture is about dance and body! Almost every woman dance very well, and most of the men!!! There´s also a number of dances like Lambada, Forró, Axé that are very sexy and very popular here!!! But if you looking for sexy dances, you must pay attencion to Carnaval, where clubs open for people with costumes and almost nooooo clothes!!! But don´t you think its all about that. Here we also have serious people who don´t like that...

I have always admired your people and your place. No doubt about it, it truly a wonderful country. When I was in college, I saw a very famous movie about some dancing that if I am not mistaken, originated in Brazil. I think it was the Lambada? Am I correct? If so, what exact place in Brazil did it start?

Thank you for your reply! Yeah, Lambada its a dance from Brazil, not so common but there is a great number of dancing classes teaching Lambada to anyone! Lambada was created in Pará, on of north states of Brazil, at the 70´s! There´s a lot of Cumbia and Merengue, and the radios always plays this songs calling them "Lambadas"!!!!
Ask more and pls let people know they can learn almost everything about Brazil!!

well, we´ve done much everything your guys do it around the world! Sure, the big cities at the beach have some nice places like Maresias, Copacabana, Ilha Bela, Fernando de Noronha, that are beautifull beachs. But we also have cities full of different people and cultures. You see, in São Paulo we have a neiborhood full of Japanese Culture called Liberdade (Freedom in portuguese) and Moema and Mooca, a neiborhood full of Italian restaurants. Also there´s bars, clubs, and a lot of shoppings!!! We also have a number of Carnaval spots called Carnaval Schools we´re you learn how to play an instrument and prepare for Carnaval! And i really love this culture and ethic difference. I don´t anywhere in the world (i guess NY) you can find an indian, an american, an japanese and a nigerian talking in their own language and living with each other without racism or anything like that.

Hi! I ask permission again!! eheh
Kiran, one thing is certain.. there are almost everything for you to do in here. I mean, if you're the party kind, you can come here. If you're not, you can come too cause you'll have a lot of choices!! This is a good aspect of Brazil! :)
North and northeast are a bit more festive (party and carnival people) and very receptive as well! :) In the centre (where the capital Brasilia is) you have Pantanal, Bonito city (very beautiful!! Search about it on the internet :D). On the southeast (where são paulo and rio de janeiro are) is the richest region in the country and has a lot of things for you to do! Night clubs, bars, theaters, concerts (they're great) and the culture thing! And the south is the most europe place in Brasil (we have a lot of european people here as well africans and some natives) and there's a beautiful city named Florianopolis - good parties and beaches! South of Brasil has cold places too (the opposite of north and northeast) like Sao Joaquim!
The best way to know Brazil is coming and staying for a while! And traveling a lot (all the places and regions) and we hope you like it! :)

ok. Since you asked. Is it safe to live there? Is it true that footballers are like heroes. Honestly i like to know more about brazil since one of my football heroes is the under rated Roberto carlos, as well as the legend pele.
I hope i didn't offend you man or someone else. I'm just ignorant of your country

He, Don´t worry Jay, i´ve created this discussion to talk about that! Yeah it´s pretty safe to live here... But there´s someplaces with low security, like slums, short invested neiborhoods. Isn´t common to walk on streets after 3 or 4 AM but you could with no problem, since you know we´re you going. It´s preety much like these: Some places looks like an european country, with almost no problems at all... And other looks like Israel, without joking on this. And yeah, football (or soccer) it´s the common passion of almost all the brazilians... It moves people!! We always watch soccer matches at Sundays and Wednesdays and listen to all the 20 shows talking about!!

Yeah Jay, Third World Country, but it´s because Brazil is huge country with almost 130 million people, an almost 40% live in poverty or non-human conditions. It´s a very sad situation but everyone do his best to change. But it is still a good place to be, with safe places and violent places like everyplace in the world (Except Swiss lol)
