After visiting Kayla again at the training center I am so happy with her progress.
She did once use the sign for toilet but of course when we took her she didn't do anything. But later she wet in her diaper, well here is what is amazing she had gotten her bed wet too, so the nurse was changing the sheets on her bed and Kayla was actually trying to help her change the sheets. And after that she picked up the pants she had gotten wet and took them to the basket where they put the dirty clothes at herself. Also after dinner which she fed herself every bite of(I have video clips of her feeding herself that I uploaded to youtube so I'll post them over here later) but after dinner she took her bib off herself then carried it to the hamper outside the dining room where they put them and put it in there herself.
The nurse that was with her yesterday was also talking about earlier in the day yesterday before I got up there that she was doing some laundry for all the residents on that hall, and she said Kayla was helping her so she showed Kayla the button to start the washer and Kayla pushed that button to start the washer, and Kayla helped her after that putting the clothes in the dryer and pushed the button to start it too.
I am just amazed that she is doing so much.

I was just shocked to hear all she's doing. And to see her trying to help change the sheets on her bed.

I've got to get some of them posted on here soon. That's one reason I haven't been on here much today because I was busy getting them uploaded to youtube.

Wow, she is doing all of the in 1 1/2 weeks! That is incredible. It sounds like she is getting a lot of great one-on-one care and training.

I knew all of that too. But as her mother I was just too close and missing her too much to think of that.

She has cerebal palsy from complications at birth. Recently we had to make the choice to put her in a training center in a residential type setting. I'm still missing her, but the progress she is making is really making me feel better about the choice.
