Do you ever stay up all night so you don't oversleep?

Okay, perhaps I am just crazy but some nights, if I HAVE to be up in the morning, I will stay up all night just incase I sleep over. Soo, am I on my own with my paranoia or do any of you stay up all night so you can't possible over sleep?!

That is some serious paranoia! Get yourself a good alarm clock and get some good sleep! I find most of the time if I really need to be up at a certain time my body just knows and gets me up.

I have been known to do this many times. Alarm clocks do not work for me - all they do is startle, and because I have such a horrific shock reflex, they just make my inertia even worse, so I have to have some sort of other system. Sometimes I stay up all night if I have to be up, say, pre-6 or 7 am. That usually works for me, especially if I am going to be busy for the rest of the day - in which case I would have no impulses to fall asleep... Sounds bizarre, but that's how my body and mind work!

Wow! Whatever you have going on must be important to risk losing sleep over just to be on time to. You should get an alarm clock or two to ease your fears so you can sleep. I've never stayed up all night just so I won't oversleep, but I have stayed up for the remainder of a night when I've stayed up late and there's no point in going to bed.

I use to do that before, especially during high school but now, I could really get up very early, let's say I slept at two in the morning, I'd still wake up around six. I guess I gotten use to it during college.. ^_^;

I try and get some sleep, even if I have to wake up extremely early. Since I figure it is better to get a little sleep, than none at all. Also, I find that if the event is important, I'm able to wake up and get out of bed relatively promptly.

A little craziness never hurts anyone, Fidget. Yes, I have done this myself. Sometimes it is excitement and/or stress about what is scheduled for the next day that keeps me awake and other times it is just plain fear of oversleeping.

I might as well sit up all night because if i have to get up early in the morning I toss and turn and keep looking at the clock even though I always set two alarm clocks, one electric and one battery in case the other one fails I am so paranoid about over sleeping...
