Do you disinfect your house behind your family

As you know the home is a great place to pic up germs and bacteria that can make you ill. Most people will use a disinfectant cleaner in their bathrooms but do you disinfect your kitchen countertops, and stove top. How often do you move your furniture to sweep and mop or vaccuum and dust? Do you ever disinfect your coffee and end tables or just use duster spray or glass cleaners on them. (these do not disinfect) How about doors, doorknobs, light switches and switchplates around the house that everyone uses. How often do you wash your walls, or your hands for that matter. Are you really cleaning your house or just making it look clean?

I do disinfect around my house after my kids because my two sons are in school and can bring home a lot of germs. I'm not so much as worried about me and my two year old bringing anything in the house because i stay at home with her, but i don't want her getting sick from the boys bringing something home with them. i disinfect the toilets and the doorknobs and then i make my kids germ x their hands as soon as they walk in the door. LOL! Can never be to careful about these things. thanks for sharing and God bless

And as a result of all of this careful screening of your home and children for germs have you noticed any drop in the amount of infectious illnesses that your family suffers? I should hope that you would, but still with two children in school you are fighting an uphill battle and especially as those children are sons (boys are just germy creatures! I tell my daughters all the time that little boys have cooties LOL!) Boys tend to do a lot more hand slapping, wiping of the nose with the hand, spitting etcetera which makes for the passage of more germs in their little groups. Hopefully you and your infant do not suffer due to this. However little boys are so endearing that you can't even get mad at them for just being boys. Thank you for your response and have a blessed day!

I spray with Lysol every now and then especially in toilets and trash cans.
I also kill bugs/pests such as flies, cockroaches, mice, ants, and spiders.
I can't do everything on my own. Everyone must do their part.

Out of all the places in my home, the kitchen is kept the cleanest and yes, I use dysinfectent on my counters. It's where you prepare food and cook it. My problem is my back door is in my kitchen so my very hairy beast of a dog has to walk through there to go outside and I am constantly find dog hairs on everything in the kitchen. It irks me to no end!

I clean the house everyday. But I disinfect every week. We have this thing from Lysol That is all purpose and it disinfect just about anything. But I think we shouldn't be to obsessed with the disinfecting side. It weakens the immunity, because if the body is so used with cleanliness it will be difficult for it to adjust when exposed to harmful elements. That is just my point of view..

I do clean and disinfect regularly, especially in the kitchen when I've been handling raw meat when I'm cooking dinner. I disinfect a little extra when someone in the house has been sick, doorknobs, light switches, phone, remote, keyboard, anything that is touched often by hands.
But I don't obsess over it. Exposure to germs helps build immunity. I think that a lot of the problems that seem to be more prevalent these days, such as allergies and asthma, are at least in part due to everyone's idea that we should live in sterile environments. I think if we are exposed to the germs, we build an immunity and won't get sick as often. People who are in sterile environments miss out on that exposure and are more vulnerable to getting sick when exposed.
So far this has worked for my family, since we are not sick that often, and when we do get sick it is relatively mild and doesn't last long.

I have the house sweeped and moped everyday. I used to do all the cleaning before now I have a maid to do it for me. I still supervise her though when she cleans th house.I also bought some disinfectants for her uses in cleaning for cleaning tops of the appliances and glass and mirrors and the toilet bowl. I also use dishwashing soap with disinfectant. We clean the house and not just make it look clean.

I am a fanatic about using Lysol. I disinfect everything that needs it, and I wash my hands all the time. There are just too many new germs out there to not be careful! The walls only need to be cleaned once a month - more if there are little ones. I move bookcases every three months for cleaning behind them, and the rest of the furniture I vacuum under every week. Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping get done once a week. My house is clean! :)
