Just Curious...Where did the AIDS virus come from?

Well, they say that AIDS came from monkeys, but i have never really researched it. It may have very well come from them. if a person was bitten by a monkey that had AIDS, then they very well could have contracted it and then brought it to who ever they were with and then it just spiraled to everyone else who isn't careful...but who really knows. just what i've heard anyways. I've heard this also...monkeys have nothing to do with AIDS or HIV. I learned that AIDS or HIV is a Human only thing. Thanks for the comment.

actually that isn't quite true. monkeys have had aids before and also cats. not sure of any other animals, but i know for a fact that there is a feline type of aids out there. my old boss had a cat that had it. anyways, God bless and thanks for responding

I heard it was from monkeys in africa. Sounds a little funny though. I don't know how true that is though. I heard it years ago.
