Most people knows the safety instructions on a plane by now, and everybody still makes fun of the stewards and stewardesses when they have to put on their little show before take-off to show you what to do in case of an emergency. It sometimes seem like they don't take the whole thing too seriously themselves. What about you, gniffling or paying attention?

Safety is always important, each person is entitled to make there own decision weather or not they want to pay attention, however if they chose not to they should pay the respects to the other people aboard, as other have mentioned it could be their first time flying & it can be quite nerve racking!!!

I do travel a lot and before i pay so much attention in all the safety instructions..but now everytime they are showing the instruction I just listen but not attentively..anyway Yes it would be a great chance of survival if you know what to do in case of emergency..but sometimes it becomes irritating too ha ha ha ha especially if you travel frequently...

I had experienced travelling by plane and the safety instructions is always being given and demonstrated by the flight sterwardess. Yes I observe some people who don't really pay attention, coz maybe they already heard the instructions several times for frequent travelling. But I still do pay attention to it, though I already have heard and seen those intructions for having travelled a few times. Its good to know what to do just in case there is an emergency situation that happen on the flight.

I have traveled on lots of planes and so I know about the safety show off. I listen to it just in case. It seems that sometimes they are in a rush to get up into the air and do this show off as the plane is moving slowly on the ground towards the runway. It is annoying as I like to look out of the window at the scenery until I see the white clouds in the sky. The view is always interesting. Luckily I have stayed safe on all flights I have been on so far. Happy traveling.

I've been on a plane a few times in my life, so I definitely remember the gist of it. But there ARE people who have never been on a plane before and it could be their first flight. My boyfriend has never been on a plane before (His dad hates flying so they always drove to family vacations) for instance, so he probably wouldn't understand what was going on for his first time. But considering how they have integrated screens into the planes now, shouldn't they have a universal short film of instructions by now? And depending on the flight they could adjust subtitles for different languages accordingly. I think that would be a good idea anyway. :)
