Once i was jogging with my fren on the streets when she found a $2 note on the ground.. To my surprise, she was actually surprised to find the money (i think it's her 1st time finding money on the streets) LOL.. She than ask me wat to do with the money, so i just told her , money picked up should be spent immediately or donated, but never keep for yourself.. So she chose to donate the money instead.. Straight away, we went to the church nearby, only to find that it's closed.. But she din give up, we went to the temple further down the streetsbut it's closed too.. Seeing her determination, i then told her there's 1 temple near my house but i'm not sure if it's closed.. So we gave our luck there, and our bad luck remains with us.. hehe ^_^ At that time, i was thinking to myself, maybe god just wants us to spend the money instead.. LOL =D In the end, we used the money to buy drinks instead and we din even complete 1/4 of the run but spent around 1hr trying to donate the money away.. LOL =P If u were to find money on the streets, wat will u do than?? hehe

wow. you're friend is really honest. but i think that was kind of overdoing it. i mean, is a $2 note worth the effort of going from one temple to another? ^__^;; if i saw money on the street and if its big, i would return it to the owner if i know who the owner is, if not, i would surrender it to the police. if its just small money, like it wouldn't hurt my conscience to spend it, i would keep it and spend it. there would be not much i can buy with it anyway. ^__^;; but if i saw the person who dropped it, i would return it to that person no matter how small the money is. ^__^

Think my fren 1st time picking up money, and thus she's so anxious about doing some charity works by donating it.. LOL ^_^ YUP, if it's hundreds and above, i will wait there a while b4 i report to the police.. If it's less than hundred or so, i will also wait, but only awhile b4 i go spending the money.. LOL ^_^ It's only polite and correct to return the money to the person if u see them drop it ^_^ hehe

reminds me of several cases here in our country involving taxi drivers returning to the owner or giving to the police huge money they found on their cabs left by their passengers. ever since the first incident, its like honest taxi drivers became the fad and after that, a lot of same incidents happened. the people who returned the money usually get rewards after. ^__^

That's a good thing happening in your country.. But in singapore, not matter how ple say that it's safe, when it comes to dropping things in the taxi, almost 90%, we can say goodbye to them.. LOL ^_^ So if u were to get a taxi in singapore, remember to check all your belongings b4 u alight from the cab ^_^ hehe

I have found a money one time while i was on my way to go home..it was just at the floor and i do not who could have dropped it it was 100 pesos approximately 2$ or so..i dont know where to leave it 'coz there are no guards in that company within my area so i just decided to keep it then my grand mother texted me and asked me to buy her medicines for her wound..it was what i have spent for the things she had asked me to buy 'coz that time my money is my allowance only and i think it was really a blessing from God.

Yup, because the money is never meant to be ours, so it's better to spend it straight away or donate it to charity ^_^

I am always finding money. Especially when I've just done something good and especially especially if I put some money in one of those collector jars. I think that things like this are the results of Kharma. Maybe the people who lose the money had bad kharma or maybe they just had more money than they needed. Whenever I find money I ask people around if they lost it, but usually there isn't anyone around and in those cases I keep it. Like one time I found $40 on the floor at my work. I put it in a drawer under my register so that maybe someone could come and claim it, but noone asked about it, so at the end of the day I split it with a friend.

yup.. It could be part of Kharma too, we are rewarded with the good things we have done and being punished for our bad deeds ^_^

Wow! So lucky to have found money on the streets! Haha, I never had that sort of luck now in my life! Lady luck is sure smiling down at you and your friend Remember to buy 4D hor!! Lol, your friend had a good heart! Imagine spending 1 hour of your time going around to find a place to donate $2 to. That's a bit too exreme! If I were to find money on the streets, I sure would not do that for a mere $2, just find it a bit too troublesome for me and I am lazy For me, it really depends. I remember there was a time that we found 2 $50 notes at the steps of Paya Lebar MRT station. Basically, the amount was just too large and thus we ignored it. Haha, I don't want the trouble that might follow if I were to pocket that money, and I sure don't want to get myself involved with the authorities by reporting the found cash. My friend and I were then just sitting on the steps waiting to see what would happen. Sure enough, there was this one professionally dressed man who picked up the cash, and upon seeing us looking at him, he then goes through the customary way of asking if the cash is ours. When we say No, he then mentioned that he would be handing the cash over to the MRT train personnels for them to handle. Haha, yeah right! Guess what happened, we saw him pocketing the cash in his pocket and running for his train. Guess money can always do that to people. Money and power. These are the two things that us humans hunger after. However, if the amount is small (less than $10), I would definately pick it up and pocket it. Call me dishonest. But, that's just me. Lol, who would say No to free money. And well, FInder's Keepers. Besides, when people lost small denominations of money, the chances that they would come back for the money is very slim. This is because I have lost money before, and if its a small amount, I would not bother about it.

You should try those playgrounds with sand. I used to pick coins from there when I was a kid. And when you are a kid, coins can buy sweets which were like the most important treat ever lol.

LOL =D YEah, i will agree that my fren is indeed extreme that she can walk around for almost an hr just to donate the money when we could have spent it somewhere on drinks.. haha.. BUt luckily that was the one and only time we found things and everytime i go jogging with her, something is bound to happen.. lol COmparing anything less than $10or $20, i will pocket them too and spent it because it makes mo sense to report with the measy sum of money.. lol =D IN the case of the man pocketing the $100, i guess everybody will do that do, and he's smart by asking the ones nearest to the money.. lol =D I guess it's just human nature and we just cant avoid greed ^_^

That seems like a lot of work just to donate it but i appreciate your determination! To be honest i haven't found any money lying around since i was a kid but when i was i'd often find little coins on the floor while walking down the street...the most i ever found was $5 lying on the street floor and i think i ended up buying a toy with it. When i did find a woman that dropped a coin without noticing i let her know and she said i could keep it so it wasn't much different :P Nowadays if i found money on the streets i'd probably keep it.

It's not me.. It's my fren whom has got the determination.. hehe :) It's polite and right to tell the person if u see them dropping the money, regardless how much it is.. But if u just find money money on the streets and u dunno who drop it, just spend it.. Money is meant to be spent anyway :) hehe

The largest amount i've found is $10.. And whenever i found money, i will just spend it.. Unless i found more than $50, maybe i will wait there for the person to come.. But just wait for awhile.. hehe ^_^ IF it's hundreds and above, i will report to police or even wait there for the person to come back ^_^
