My cat stares into the toilet when it's flushing

my cat comes running when he' hears someone using the bathroom, he is beyond fascinated with water or any kind, he loves to play in the shower and in the sink, its really bizarre!! the only thing that scares him is the toothbrush (electric) .. but he's getting better.. .

all cats are attracted to water, especially "moving" water such as fountains or toilet bowls (according to cats.about.com) but of course they differ in intensity,i wont be surprised if that's a kitten, but for a cat,well he must be really curious for him to do that constantly,my cat only peeps at the water drainages at the bottom of the sink when there's flowing water,but thats about it..

My cat is fascinated by running water whether it's the toilet or a faucet with water running. I bought a little fountain for him that was supposed to have running water when plugged in but the darn thing didn't work. I'm looking for another one.

I have a cat who is just fascinated with running water, whether it's the toilet flushing or a bath or sink filling up. She gets as close as possible to it without getting wet and just watches it. I worry one day she will slip off the side of the bath and fall in while its filling up, my bath runs really hot so if she fell in before I'd put any cold water in she'd get badly scalded. I don't know why they do this I suppose running water just doesn't make sense to them so they are trying figure it out by staring at it.

my cat use to do it too..he also look at me when i m having a bath somtimes he climbs on the edge too..and he only gets out of the bathroom when i m ready and leaving..i dont know why because he do these things only for me
