My greatest fear is getting pregnant. I never, ever, ever, ever what to get or be pregnant. The very thought of it makes my skin crawl.
And only barely second is something bad happening to my mom or my husband or my cat.

Hey, so do you you, Springy. You need a serious attitude adjustment. Leave me the hell alone, Harpie.

gloom,
Not trying to be mean here, just trying to help. But you need some counseling. Seriously. You have some serious issues you need to deal with.
God bless.

My biggest fear in life is not to be able to support myself. I currently don't have a job, so...

It may sound weird to you, but I feel like I've already taken the first step in finding one, because of your answer. I usualy don't talk about my fears and my problems with other people. Maybe it's easier for me to do it on a forum because I don't know anyone personally. Thanks. :)

My greatest fear in life, in fact my ONLY fear is losing another child.....I have already had to bury one child..I seriously DO NOT want to outlive another...Its devastating to say the least..In fact I'd NEVER wish that on even my worst enemy...
Other than that though, I really dont have any fears...I mean there are things I dont care for (such as extreme open heights) but I dont fear them..I just dont need to expose myself to them but if i had to for whatever reason I would and could without flipping out over it ya know..

I'm very sorry that you had to face your fear already! I, myself have never had to go through your experience but I could only imagine how that must feel. I think I would feel lost and not know what to do with myself. I have lost a parent and that was hard. I hope you never have to relive that again.. sorry for your lose

Being under water.
I can have dreams that would terrify most people and it doesn't bother me much at all, but if I dream that I am under water I freak.
Also if I am watching TV and there is an underwater scene where anyone is struggling to stay alive I find myself holding my breath.
The strange thing is that I don't recall any negative experience to do with water. I can swim and dive and hold my breath for ever.

I have this same fear as well. Huge amount of water areas such as oceans, lakes, or big swimming pools. I think the thing that bothers me is that they are too mysterious for me and I"m not sure what's underneath. If I"m in a swimming pool I don't want to open my eyes because I'm afraid of what might show up when I do open them. Also, when I watch a show with underwater I get this shiver, and it's odd.
thanks for your thoughts

My greatest fear is that my parents will have to bury me. Im in the Army and im constantly deploying to Iraq. I dont want my family to bury me. Im the baby. I would hate to make them cry. So dying before my parents is one of my biggest fears.

Ooh, interesting question and I could give quite a few answers.
However, I think Gloom just took the words from my mouth; I never, ever want to be pregnant. The very idea of it scares me, worries me and in some ways sickens me. All you ladies that have gone through it; kudos! I sure as hell couldn't.
To go blind. My eyesight means a lot to me; I am very into the pleasing my inner aesthete. But I'm not completely shallow. I love learning and reading; I horde books like a paper-dragon. If I lost my sigh so many books would be lost to me. No one produces the books I read in brail or audio. And the internet? And gaming?
And I fall over enough as it is... _
Well, I think I'll leave it at two.

I have lots of fears, like growing old, mice, never achieving my dream of becoming a published author... but there is no greater fear than that of losing my children. I live and breathe for those girls and if anything happened to either one of them I would be devestated.

1. Anything happening to my children.
2. Being buried alive or drowning.
