here is one of my favorite song by beatles and i sing it almost everyday and not once almost everytime and i recall all the good memories of my past with my friends and my husband:-)
There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
Though I remember I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I’ll love you more
In my life I’ll love you more

I've always "connected" with music. I have a song for just about every mood, several situations, and for the people in my life.
Currently, Linkin Park's Leave Out all the Rest is a song with a strong meaning for me.
The lyrics for those of you who aren't familiar with the song...
"Leave out all the rest"
I dreamed I was missing
You were so scared
But no one would listen
And no one else cared
After my dreaming,
I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here
So if you're asking me
I want you to know...
(chorus)
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
(End chorus)
Don't be afraid
I've taken my beating
I've shared what I made
I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you
So if you're asking me
I want you to know...
(Chorus)
Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
For me, this song speaks to what many of us have to deal with in this life. Living up to someone else's expectations, and what will we be leaving behind when our time on this Earth is over.
My mother has always held me to a higher standard than my brother, and (in her eyes) I haven't fulfilled many of her expectations. She has a tendency to compare me and what I do in my life to herself and what she does in her's.
I think it's just human nature to wonder how we're thought of both in life and afterwards.

I have a few favourite songs. Most of the times I like the song as I enjoyed it when I was younger and I remember happy times. Like Mr Jones - by COunting Crows, I used to have a lot of fun dancing to this song with my best friend, I felt free and happy. We always requested this song when we went out.
I also like listening to Like a Prayer by Madonna as I enjoyed singing this at Kareoke with my friends. There are alot of songs that bring back happy memories. I could list many more.
