Who thinks Mitt Romney is trying to become Vice President with McCain?

Why else would Mitt Romney drop out, besides the fact that he was behind in points. I know he said it was for the war in Iraq but to me it seems that perhaps he made some kind of deal with McCain to drop out if he made him VP. Would this make you more or less likely to vote for McCain if Romney ran with him as VP?

Of course Romney is trying to become VP. There is not way a man like Romney would enter this race and drop out without some sort of an ulterior motive.

It sounds like a sensible strategy and it happens often enough. I despise Hillary and I'm not overly fond of Obama, so unless McCain chooses some god awful running mate, he'll have my vote. I kind of preferred Romney over McCain, so it wouldn't change my vote.
