Child Support Question

Is it even possible that a mother can be made to pay it? Every time I hear about child support, it is always the father who has to pay it, and this is something that I have wondered about.

Yes the mother can be made to pay. Someone I know has 2 children and they live with her father and the kids father signed over custody. She has to pay, when she wasn't working they threatend to put her in jail.

It would of been unfair if only fathers could be placed on child support. Thanks to you, I now know that mothers could be placed on it too. Thank you for the response.

Yes Mothers have to pay child support. I am a mother and my children reside with my mom until I get my life straightened back out. I pay her child support every month. I don't think it's fair that people think only men pay child support.
