love to listen folks and country music

I love folk music, but I'm really not into country music. I really enjoy the sound of folk music and I enjoy it even more when its combined with other styles of music .. eg : folk/rock/pop Not sure what it is about country I dislike ... many songs are about 'someone loosing in love' or 'someone leaving'. I think thats what it is ... but I must admit I love Dolly Parton. She's a great gal!
