Hello, lynnchua! in case the fire occurs in the house it should be the first duty of the husband to save the baby first leaving the wife to try her best to escape since the baby is unable to escape by his/herself.after saving if possible you may try for your wife if yet in the fire.it should be our moto to save the helpless.thank you.

As hard of a question as this one is to answer and as much as I love my husband I would have my kids over him always. I love my husband very much, and would be so lost without him but I couldn't live without my kids. They have their whole lives ahead of them, my husband has had 35 years of life. I asked this question of my husband and he said the same thing, he would save the kids over me. It is the job of a parent to give everything to their children even their lives if they have to and this is just what both of us would do for our babies. I would gladly give my life for my kids any day.

The baby of course…my spouse would kill ME otherwise. If not, then the mother inside me is sure to complete the job lol!

I'd choose my baby. I love my husband but I know it is possible to fall out of love with him. I will however always love my son.

How difficult this is to answer depends on what you mean.
If you mean who needs the most help getting saved from the fire, that would definitely be the baby.
There's no way that a baby could make it out of a fire on his/her own, so you have to be the one to make sure that he/she gets out.
Your spouse is an adult who is capable of getting out on his/her own unless he/she has health problems.
So, as both would get out, I would save the baby.
Now, if there were some reason that your spouse was helpless, the thing to do would be to save the spouse.
Think of a spouse who is physically unable to remove himself/herself from this situation but has a working mind.
I would have to go with saving the spouse because the baby would be the one to suffer the least from dying in the fire.
He/She would be lying there blissfully-unaware right up until the fire took him/her.
Your spouse, however, would be lying there in bed and seeing the fire getting closer and closer--and anticipating the agony that's about to happen. Then he/she would be totally-aware of things while the fire began to eat him/her up.

I would try to save both if I could however the baby would be the first one I would go for when I enter the house.

I think I will save my baby at first. As he is still a little child and it's not possible for him to get out of the fire. As to my husband, he is strong and big. It will be difficult for me to carry him alone. I believe he can find a way out by himself.

Expect the worst, hope for the best. I would go for the baby. As a lot of you have already said you would hope your spouse could make it out on his own. The child is helpless and I couldn't live with knowing I did nothing to at least try and save that baby.

No questions asked, I'd save the child first. My husband has a better chance of getting out vs the child getting out.
