I am with orange, I only text on my phone and its pre paid but I top up just £10.00 a month and I get 300 texts and £4.00 of browsing time for the internet, the more you put on the more texts and things you get, but 300 messages is more than plenty for me.

This probaby depends on what plan you have. I personally do not have a pre-paid phone. I have a regular T-mobile plan, but I have friends with the pre-paid. I know that Verizon has a pre-paid phone that includes unlimited mobile to mobile. So if you know anyone wiht Verizon that would be a good idea. Also check to see if Cricket is available in your area. Its not in mine, but when I lived in TX it was there and it is something like $40 a month with unlimited min, text, picture, video, and internet, and long distance. A lot of people really seem to like them. In fact for that price if they were in my area I might change to them.

I have a prepaid cell and love it. I only put thirty dollars on it a month and it works for me. I don't do much calling during the day. But I have free texting, free cell to cell, and free nights and weekends. Mine is through Alltel.

i dont have the problem because i have a prepaid walkie talkie type beeper phone. most my friends and family have it. if someone dont have it you cant beep them, but i dont know why more people dont have it. its so cheap. for one dollar a day, you can beep/walkie talkie all day to anyone that has it, even in other states! when we went on vacation in ohio, we kept in touch with everyone back here by beeping them. i only pay about $ 30. a month, but if theres a couple days i dont beep anyone, i dont pay for those days.
