yes stop paragraphic discussions in mylot as a large paragraph is hard to read. i see people start very good discussions but due to their paragraphic writing people dont bother to read the whole paragraph and respond wrongly. start your discussion with a fascinating title and arrange your views point wise as it looks neat and interesting.

Hello, anshnav! you are right,i also do not like to read a big paragraph for discussion.it is boring and i just avoid and do not answer.everybody should be specific in their discussions.thank you.

I understand what you mean. It puts me off reading a discussion when I see a large, block paragraph. It's partly to do with the fact that I'm dyslexic, but also because I think it's a human thing to need things broken up visually.

I have to agree with you on this point. Often I will open a discussion because the title interests me, then when I see the 6-8 paragraph discussion I end up closing the discussion without answering it. Seldom will I take the time to read that much material, I lose interest too easily. I have found that a paragraph or two is about the most that people are willing to read. Posts with more than that tend to not receive many responses. (or so it has seemed with the very long posts that I have observed.)

I agree. I usually try to express my point in 5-6 lines maximum, to let other members add something. There is no sense in a long discussion, because others will simply have nothing to add.

I ALWAYS use paragraphs and spread mine out. I do it with emails and everything too. Its very frustrating to see something run on and on and yes, much harder to read and grasp. I read fast and pick and choose words quickly and get the point, but when its all jumbled together its harder to do. I notice you don't use natural caps in your writing. That bugs me too. :)
